live in times when so many people of varying ages and circumstances
find they need outside help with daily activities, health and education-related
problems, and other situations that existing programs cannot easily provide.
These tremendously varied needs - like tutoring, providing
non-medical assistance, and a great deal more - require understanding,
sensitivity and lots of special skills. Finding this kind of assistance
is frequently quite difficult, expensive, and unreliable.
Hello, I'm Jami
Filiault. I started At Home Care Providers' Network (formerly
At Home Programs) because
I wanted to apply my 20 years of professional Human Services experience
in a way that would make a real difference. A difference to the families
and individuals needing assistance, and a difference to the programs and
providers who have the skills and are available to provide that help.
In 1999 I established At Home Care Providers' Network,
based in Sunderland, Massachusetts.
Helps people with needs in two main ways:
1.Through a growing network database of independent service providers and professionals,
At Home Care Providers' Network facilitates the pairing of
Clients and Providers of all types. It's important to know that someone
really cares about your needs. At Home Care Providers' Network will put you on the right
track towards locating the best program or resource for you. If we can't
provide a service directly, we'll put you in touch with someone who can.
2.
Some of the situations we've tackled include:
-
Locating
professional tutors to assist all-age learners in most subjects
-
Helping
to create Alzheimer's safe environments
-
Working
with families of special needs children to develop learning tools and age-appropriate
toys
-
Providing
shopping and errand helpers for individuals who can't manage these things
by themselves
At Home Care Providers' Network also runs a variety
of Workshops at our Sunderland Center for Positive Change.
Home tutoring plus on site instruction, teaching study
skills, playgroup activities, support with caregiver strain, community
care network, and more...
